In remote learning today, fourth-grade students are planning for the last project we started before Spring Break. Right before Spring Break, students sketched out a meal that had three food items. After Spring Break they were going to sculpt their food items out of model magic clay and attach it to a dinner plate to create a low-relief sculpture. The first week of June, students will pick up their Art Portfolio and they will find their food sketch, a paper plate, and also a package of model magic clay to sculpt their food items and finish their project. Students can watch my video for ideas on how to sculpt their food items. I used tempera paint for the color choice. Students can use markers or any kind of paint (watercolor, tempera, acrylic) to color their food items.
