I am hoping that it was not wishful thinking and that in fact Spring is here to stay when taking down our kindergarten winter mittens project and replacing it with their water lilies!! The students created these collages with three different papers. Opaque painted construction paper for the background, transparent transparency paper for the middle layer, and translucent tissue paper for their lily pads and water lilies. This project connected to their science lesson.

During Greenbrier's all day Read-A-Thon, students took a break from reading to create a bookmark. First through fifth grade students created a folded weave bookmark and kindergarten students weaved two paper strips through their green bookmark. For most of our kindergarteners, this was the first time learning to weave. Such a fun day before the start of spring break!
